In 1893, the first Sears and Roebuck Catalog was produced and distributed. For the next 100 years, it continued to fill the needs of its audience, and is regarded the grandfather of catalog marketing.

Richard Sears knew then what still holds true today - a catalog should create convenience for the customer, and should also spark impulse buying.
